About School
Along with teaching the Japanese language, we help students gain a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and society.
Our school was established in 1989 in Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and has a history of more than 30 years as a Japanese language school under a school juridical person. It has produced many graduates who are still active in Japan and their home countries. Since its establishment, the local community has supported our international students by establishing the “International Student Friendship Association. Through exchange events held three times a year and various other events, we also focus on understanding Japanese society and culture.
Message
When considering living outside of our home country, in a country having different customs and culture, and especially when living in a country whose language is different from our own, language can appear to be a great barrier that stands before us. At a time like this, however, there is no more useful ally in helping us get along than mastering the language. The quickest way to learn about the culture of another country is through its language.
For us here at MIAL(Mihara International Academy of Languages), in addition to studying the Japanese language, we would like you to learn about a whole range of topics concerning Japan, about its culture, customs, economy and so forth. We hope in this way to promote and encourage the talented people needed to carry out activities to build peaceful, friendly and trusting relations between our two countries in the future. The entire staff will do its utmost to provide support so that everyone will have an enriching experience as a student in Japan. We are awaiting your arrival in Japan with great anticipation.

水は、全ての命の源 あらゆる生物にとって必要不可欠なもの そして、自らの価値を存分に発揮し私たちに潤いを与えてくれる
これが私たち学校法人山中学園の建学の精神です。 「人は誰しも水のようにありふれた存在ではあるけれど、その人にしか果たせない役割があり、そのために自らの能力を十分に発揮し、『なくてはならない人に』なろう」という、本学園の創立者である山中幸吉先生の熱いメッセージです。 人は自らが幸福になるとともに、他の人をも幸せにするために生きています。それが人生の目的であるはずです。一人一人の能力は大きなものではないかもしれませんが、そのさまざまな力を組み合わせた先に自他を幸福に導く未来が実現できます。
本校は、学園の建学精神のもと、国際教育交流を推進すべく教育を展開してきました。
